The Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas partner with Souper Bowl of Caring during the month of September (Hunger Action Month) to tackle hunger in North Texas. They can earn a "Tackle Hunger" patch by helping to have a food drive in their area and learning about hunger issues in our world.
To support the Girl Scout efforts, the Souper Bowl of Caring hosted a hunger banquet for some of their girls to learn firsthand how it feels to be food insecure. We were excited by the responses from the girls and look forward to our next banquet.
